FLEET PAINTING AND TRAILER REPAIR

In 1976, with the support of our grandparents, Ruth and Austin Welborn, our father, Randy Welborn started Fleet Painting Service, Inc. (Although he didn’t know what he started at the time!) in his backyard by working on one vehicle. He added work on other vehicles, broadened his vision for the company, and increased his hard work. He recruited Austin’s help, Fleet was relocated from the backyard, and established as a fledgling business on its way to growth in the trucking industry.

From the time of Randy’s marriage to Christy Jenkins over thirty years ago, she has been his dedicated partner in the successful business at Fleet and in other business ventures. Randy recently decided that over thirty years was long enough to paint trucks (and other things), and retired from the daily operation of Fleet, however, Christy Welborn is still an important element in the Fleet offices, and she and Randy are still officers of the company.

With this change in the family dynamic, the family’s third generation - brother and sister, Neil Welborn and LeAnn Welborn, now enthusiastically work in and manage, side by side, its daily operation to keep the family business going strong. At Fleet we pride ourselves on doing good, quality work at a fair price, in keeping with the example we have been shown by our parents and grandparents, and based on the groundwork they laid for members of our entire Fleet family to continue.

Because of the skills our staff members have (and sometimes ours!), we are able to do custom work on your tractors, trailers, tankers, race transporters-repainting, retrofitting, specialty designs, sandblasting, equipment painting and parts sales.

Our main building houses our offices, four preparation bays, four trailer repair bays and four body work bays. Our state-of-the-art paint shop is a stone’s throw from this facility, with 66’ paint bays for all your painting needs.

Since we grew up at Fleet, we have a Welborn Way of doing things and would like to work with you on all your truck/transport-related projects!
